Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of WallpaperFeed and constitute your legal agreement with us. Please read them carefully before using the Website. You must be at least 13 years old to use WallpaperFeed, and at least 18 years old to view or upload mature content. By using the Website you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

"We", "us", "our" — the operators of WallpaperFeed.
"Website" — the website accessible at wallpaperfeed.com, including its subdomains, code, databases and design.
"User", "you" — any person using the Website.
"Content" — text, design, data or other material made available by us, excluding User Content.
"User Content" — wallpaper images, titles, descriptions and other material that Users upload or submit to the Website.
"Personal Data" — information that relates to you as an identified or identifiable individual, including your username, email address, IP address and account activity.
"Mature content" — User Content depicting nudity or sexually suggestive material, marked as such on the Website and restricted to signed-in adults.

2. Account registration

When you register you choose a username and password. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and must not share it with anyone. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it.

3. Prohibited conduct

You may not post, upload or otherwise transmit through the Website any User Content that:

Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, harassing, defamatory or hateful
Infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property right of any third party
You do not have the lawful right to copy, transmit or display
Is pornographic. WallpaperFeed is not an adult site and does not host pornography. See "Mature content" below for where we draw the line
Depicts, or appears to depict, a minor in a sexual or suggestive manner
Depicts an identifiable person in a sexual context without their consent, including so-called "revenge" imagery and sexual deepfakes
Contains software viruses or any code designed to disrupt or damage systems
Includes hidden or surreptitiously embedded code unrelated to the aesthetic nature of the content

You may also not:

Use the Website for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
Post unsolicited advertising, spam, chain letters or pyramid schemes
Circumvent or interfere with security features of the Website
Attempt to scan, probe or test the vulnerability of our systems
Attempt to decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer any software used on the Website
Scrape, parse or meta-search the Website with automated tools not provided by us
Collect personal data about other Users without their express permission
Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
Encourage or instruct others to do any of the foregoing

Mature content

Pornography is not allowed on WallpaperFeed. This is a wallpaper site, not an adult platform. We allow a limited amount of mature imagery because it belongs to the art and photography we host, and nothing beyond that.

Allowed, provided it is marked as mature:

Artistic and figure nudity, in the sense of photography, painting and illustration
Suggestive or revealing imagery, such as swimwear, lingerie or partial nudity

Not allowed, whether or not it is marked as mature:

Depictions of sexual acts, real or drawn, including simulated acts
Close or explicit depictions of genitalia presented for sexual purposes
Imagery whose evident primary purpose is sexual arousal rather than the image itself, including hentai and comparable material
Fetish or BDSM material, and anything depicting sexual violence or coercion
Any promotion of, or linking to, pornographic sites or services

Where a wallpaper falls close to the line, we decide, and we tend to decide against. The test we apply is simple: would this be out of place as the background of someone's screen at work? If so, it does not belong here.

Mature content must be marked as such when you upload it. We also apply automated and manual review, and may mark or remove content ourselves. It is hidden from signed-out visitors, excluded from our sitemaps and from search-engine indexing, and shown only to signed-in Users who have enabled it in their settings. By enabling mature content you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

Deliberately uploading mature content without marking it, or uploading pornography, is a violation of these Terms. It leads to removal of the content and, on repetition, to suspension of your account.

4. Intellectual property

We, our licensors or other third parties own all rights, title and interest in the Website and its Content, including all trademarks, service marks and logos, other than User Content.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-assignable and non-exclusive licence to access and use the Website for your own personal, non-commercial use only.

What you may do with a downloaded wallpaper

Wallpapers are free to download and use as a background on your own devices. You may not resell them, redistribute them, bundle them into an app, wallpaper pack or dataset, or use them commercially, unless the original creator has given you permission. This applies whether or not the file carries a watermark or credit.

Where a wallpaper originates from another platform, that platform's licence and the original creator's terms take precedence over this section. If you need commercial rights, contact the creator through their profile page or the source link on the wallpaper.

5. User Content

By uploading or submitting User Content you grant:

To us — a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, perpetual and irrevocable right to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, display and otherwise exploit your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Website.
To other Users — a non-exclusive licence to access, view and download your User Content as permitted by the Website.

We do not claim ownership of your User Content. We reserve the right to remove any User Content at any time and for any reason, including content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Editing and deleting your uploads

You may change the title, description, tags and source credit of your own uploads at any time from the wallpaper's page, and you may delete an upload entirely. A deleted wallpaper leaves the Website immediately; the image files are erased after 30 days, so a mistake can still be reversed within that period.

The image itself cannot be swapped for a different one after upload — that would change what other Users have already liked, saved and downloaded. Upload a new wallpaper instead.

The category and the mature-content marking stay with moderation rather than the uploader, so that adult material cannot be routed past the age gate by editing it after the fact.

We record each edit and deletion, including what changed and the IP address it came from, and keep that record for 24 months. It exists so that a later dispute about authorship, or a takedown request, can be resolved on evidence. See our Privacy Policy.

You represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary licences, rights, consents and permissions to grant the above licences, and that your User Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.

6. Copyright infringement (DMCA)

If you believe content on WallpaperFeed infringes your copyright, please send a notice to [email protected] including:

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorised person
Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
The URL or precise location of the allegedly infringing material
Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, email address)
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner

You may also use the report button next to any image on the Website. We have no obligation to remove content that you personally find objectionable but that does not constitute infringement.

7. Third-party content and links

A substantial part of the library is imported from third-party platforms, principally WallpaperFlare and Wallhaven, and to a smaller extent Pexels, Unsplash, Freepik and NASA. This content remains subject to the licences of those platforms and of the original creators. We display source and author information where we hold it, but we make no warranties about third-party content and we do not grant you any rights in it beyond those described in section 4.

If you are the creator of imported content and want it removed or credited differently, email [email protected] and we will act on it. The Website may also contain links to external websites; we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we and our officers, directors, employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Website, whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total cumulative liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the six months prior to the claim.

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Website is to stop using it.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us, our affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

Your access to or use of the Website or its Content
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights
Any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your username, email address, profile and the activity logs tied to it. Wallpapers you uploaded remain on the Website under a deleted account, so that other Users' likes and collections are not broken; delete individual wallpapers first if you want them gone as well. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what is erased and what is kept.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms, infringe third-party rights, or engage in illegal conduct. Upon termination all licences granted to you cease immediately.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on the Website. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Website.

13. General

Choice of law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Severability. If any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that part shall be modified to reflect the parties' original intent as closely as possible, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Entire agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Website and supersede all prior agreements.
